Top Players to Watch
Several players are poised to make significant contributions in the upcoming 2025 MLB season. Kyle Hart, a South Korean free agent pitcher, is attracting interest from multiple teams, including the Astros, Brewers, Orioles, Twins, and Yankees.
In the AL, Christian Walker and Isaac Paredes are expected to be in Houston's top-five lineup spots. Josh Hader is looking to simplify his pitching arsenal and make his changeup a more prominent part of his game. Lucas Giolito is determined to return from injury and showcase his abilities for the Red Sox.
For the NL, Caleb Durbin will provide defensive versatility for the Brewers. Nolan Gorman is working on adjustments to his swing with the Cardinals, while Jordan Lawlar is expected to play second or third base for the Diamondbacks.
Dalton Rushing is projected to be primarily a catcher for the Dodgers, leaving Andy Pages as the backup outfielder and James Outman heading to the minors. Jonathan Pintaro and Luis Moreno are pitching prospects with the potential to impact the Mets in 2025.
Offseason Moves and Roster Changes
The Phillies have acquired Andrew Painter and Jesús Luzardo, who will join the rotation in different time frames. Gleyber Torres will play second base for the Tigers, with Colt Keith moving to first base.
The Nationals have announced that Trevor Williams will be in the starting rotation, leaving second base and shortstop positions open for competition. Royce Lewis has made lifestyle changes to improve his performance with the Twins.
The Yankees have confirmed that Spencer Jones is unlikely to make the majors this season. The Dodgers will likely platoon Max Kepler or Brandon Marsh in the outfield, with Weston Wilson serving as a backup for Kepler.

"Every time you tweak your swing, it's like starting over," said Nolan Gorman about his offseason adjustments.
"We still see [Rushing] as someone who can stick behind the plate long-term," said Brandon Gomes about the Dodgers' catching plans.
